About

About 2072326734 13976d3860 mI’m an entrepreneur who loves to delight customers, build products that people use and inspire others to accomplish great things. Today, I live in Chicago and grew up in the Caribbean.

I love working with ideas, complex problems and the intersection of technology with applications that have big impact. I’m lucky to have the chance to work with world-class teams who pioneer things like caller-id and 3-way calling at AT&T, introduce CDMA mobile technology for commercial use in the USA at Motorola and build the largest Wi-Fi hotspot company in the world at Boingo Wireless. In my current role as Director of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology for the State of Illinois, I’m working with a great team to support the growth and sustainability of businesses in Illinois. This is an amazing opportunity for big impact.

I have a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, an M.S. in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology and an MBA from Stuart School of Business.

Some of my civic and professional organizations include:

City of Chicago, Major’s Council of Technology Advisors (MCTA) – Member

Metropolitan Leadership Institute (MLI) – 2009 Graduate Member

Illinois Science and Technology Coalition – ex-oficio Board Member

Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center – Ex-oficio & Former Board Member

Latino Technology Alliance – Founder and President

Chicago Rauner YMCA – Board Member

Chicago Economic Club – Member

I started this site around Nov 2007 at the request of several friends who claimed that I’m Mr. “Full of Information” and have too much energy. The content here reflects my current interests. If you are here, then some of this must be intriguing, inspiring or informational. Either way, it has accomplished its purpose.

Enjoy!
